On October 21st 2026, Humans for Humans hosted our Oslo Innovation Week event.

First, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Oslo Innovation Week for partnering with us and bringing a critical human rights conversation to such a vital platform.

A huge thank you to Jan Willy Hagen and the team at Stopp Pressen. Thank you for your technical support and for creating such a warm, welcoming space on a rainy Oslo evening.

I am deeply grateful to our incredible panel for bringing ground-level expertise, urgency, and actionable insights:

Astrid Sundberg, thank you for your tireless work preparing this event and for moderating. You have a natural talent for bringing people together and creating safe spaces for heavy, complex conversations. We are so lucky to have you as a dedicated Advisory Board Member for Humans for Humans!

Bjørn Ihler, thank you for driving all the way from Sweden to share your vital perspective on digital safety architecture, algorithmic manipulation, and online radicalization. Your commitment to disrupting digital harm at its root is truly inspiring.

Zainab Hussain Siddiqui, thank you for bringing crucial corporate sustainability and ethical AI leadership to the stage. Your insights on industry accountability and safety-by-design highlighted the exact cross-sector and cross-border solutions we need.

Uma Feed, thank you for your powerful advocacy, courage, and creative force. Your work exposing institutional vulnerabilities and fighting for individual dignity reminded all of us why systemic protection matters so deeply.

Shirin Tinnesand, thank you for bringing your deep expertise on migration, structural gaps, and frontline protection into the dialogue. As a board member at Humans for Humans you bring invaluable knowledge and expertise to our work.

To Bjørn, Zainab, Uma, Shirin, and Astrid - your daily work is the living proof that we cant just care for those who have been rescued, we also need to care for those who are not free yet, and build a world that prevents harm before it occurs.

An event like this only succeeds because of the extraordinary people working behind the scenes. Catarina Fitas, thank you for your endless support in organizing every detail of this event. You are an absolute legend! Abib Bangura and Alina Bugaeva, thank you for managing the digital side of the event and for the amazing pictures! Ewelina Wdzieczna, thank you for your breathtaking illustrations. Your creativity has no limits, and your visual art communicates raw human emotion where words fall short. Kristin Lied, Inês Crucho Gonçalves, Mónica Lousada, Lara Bicalho, Rosa Briz, Teresa Cardoso and the CMC – Comunicação Visual Lda, thank you for your support and the work you do with Humans for Humans!

If technology can scale harm, then it can scale protection, disruption and healing.
